Paul Brant, of Malden, died on Saturday, June 3 at age 56, leaving behind a loving network of friends and family, including his daughter, Emilie, according to a GoFundMe created for his funeral expenses.

Brant graduated from Malden High School in 1985.  After school, he joined the Army National Guard and was called to serve in Operation Desert Storm, according to a memorial Facebook post.

The veteran coached wrestling at Malden High School and is remembered for his many passions, including weightlifting, street hockey, and football, which he played at a semi-pro level in Charlestown, according to his obituary.

He was an avid sports fan and is remembered for his fierce love for the Buffalo Bills.

"[He] could talk about the Buffalo Bills until you didn’t want to hear about it anymore and even then, he still might talk about them some more," his sister Kimberly Brant wrote.

Brant, also known as DJ Paulie B., brought entertainment via airwaves every Friday for years with his radio show, "The Giddyup."

The Malden community honored his memory and supported his family through donations to a GoFundMe for funeral expenses to help give Brant "the send-off he deserves."

Brant is survived by his loving parents, daughter, and five siblings, among others.
